The Late Ruth Munene who was murdered by her roommate in Birmingham, Alabama

Following the sad and tragic death of Ruth Munene (see picture), friends and the Organizing Committee are inviting you to a Memorial Service in celebration of her. The service will be held on Saturday, June 19th 2010 at 3pm at Upendo Baptist Church located on 917 N Jupiter Rd, Garland, TX 75042. Ruth is survived by her 13 year old daughter, Tanya.
There will also be a fundraiser at the same venue for funeral expenses and to establish a Trust fund for orphaned Tanya.
The late Ruth Wawira Munene was found murdered with over 100 knife stab wounds in her house on Saturday June 12th, 2010. She was allegedly murdered by her Kenyan roommate, who is currently in police custody.
Before moving to Alabama about two years ago, Ruth resided in Dallas and Euless.
