Fox’s FX has extended its reach in Africa, joining the line-up of Kenyan broadcaster Zuku TV.
The move moves after the US male-skewing action/drama network debuted in sub-Saharan Africa on TopTV last May and marks FX’s first carriage deal in East Africa.
Distributor Fox International Channels already has a variety of wholly-owned and licensed stations in Kenya, however: Fox Entertainment, BabyTV, National Geographic Channel, National Geographic Wild and National Geographic Adventure.
“Kenya is an important country for us to be in, and we see this as our firm entry into the East African market,” said FIC Africa regional director Thandi Davids.
