Stanley was diagnosed with Leukemia (cancer of the body’s blood forming tissues) about a year ago. He has undergone extensive chemotherapy, and now needs a bone marrow transplant.
To receive the transplant, he needs to find someone who will match his marrow. An international registry of potential donors called “Be the Match Foundation” is working with him to identify a match.
So far no one in the registry matches his marrow type.
The purpose of the drive is to find a matching donor for Stanley and others in our community and around the world who are in need of marrow transplants.
