Aston Villa are interested in Inter Milan midfielder McDonald Mariga.
The Kenya international is being made available by Inter ahead of the summer market and he favours a move to England.
Mariga had a move to Manchester City blocked by UK work permit authorities last January and still harbours hopes of playing in the Premier League.
Villa boss Gerard Houllier regards Mariga highly and would love to bring the ball-winning midfielder to Villa Park in the summer.
