The late Maureen Adhiambo Kimani


A Kenyan lady, Maureen Adhiambo Kimani wife of Kevin Kimani Gittao and mother to Neema Wanjiku Kiman passed away suddenly in the early hours of September 20th 2010.


Maureen was a loving daughter, sister and aunt to many, she was second daughter of the late David Obong and now retired teacher Mrs. Margaret Obong.

She was a niece to Dr. George Okello and Molly Obong. Maureen was a sister to Judy and Edwin (Edu) of Maryland, Jacky, Elisha, Molly and Bilha in Kenya. She was niece & cousin to Kennedy Amollo”Ken Odhis”, Gladis Obong, Theresa Amollo, Malabi Chasia and Theresa Abwao and Theresa, Jorim and Micheal Obong of North Carolina.

In the U.S.A., Family and Friends are meeting daily, this week, from 6pm at her sibling’s residence at 2864 Schubert Drive, Silver Spring MD, 20904

In the Kenya, Family and Friends are meeting daily, this week, from 6pm at her husband’s parent’s resident at Magiwa Estate.

A fundraiser to help assist the family send Maureen’s body back to Kenya for burial is slated for Saturday October 2nd at 7:00 pm at:

GRACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

TAKOMA PARK MD. 20912.

A memorial/wake is scheduled for Sunday October 3rd and details will follow shortly.
